Hi! We’re Erik & Megan, and together we're the founders of Practical Service Design — We started this collaboration in order to help educate, motivate, and integrate service design into practical work contexts. We believe strongly in building a community of practice around service design to help advance the industry, and help us all grow as service designers.

Erik is a multidisciplinary designer and developer, having spent over 20 years working with the web and technology in countless environments and contexts, from freelancing, to small businesses, startups, and large corporations

Megan has a broad range of design experience, including brand, identity, visual, user experience, product, and service design. An evangelist of conscious experience design, Megan presents and leads workshops to raise awareness and capacity for design thinking in the community.

How is the course structured?
In each module, there are several sections with videos, links and resources, and worksheets. At the end of every module is an assignment to help you put your learning into action.
How much time is needed to complete the course?
Estimate ~2 hours to watch and read the content of the course (video lectures, modules), ~4 hours to complete the worksheets, and if you plan to use this course as a companion to running your first blueprinting session, expect additional time to prep for the session, and ~2 hours for the session itself.
When does the course start and finish?
The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
